Targeted Intervention Project
It is a continuous project has been implementing by IMACT-N.E. on HIV/AIDS since 2007 in Majuli for vulnerable group of people. In continuation to the preceding years, Assam State Aids Control Society has sanctioned T.I. project on HIV/AIDS to IMPACT-N.E to implement in Majuli for the duration of two years w.e.f.May 2010 to April 2012. As per the guidelines of NACO the organization is implementing the project. Mainly the activity of the project is to create awareness on HIV/AIDS, condom promotion and to treat the STI patients of target category at free of cost.The total fund released for the year aga ins the project is Rs 7, 97,233 to utilize for the sanctioned purpose.

1.1 Capacity Building Training
For upgrading and building their own capacity first of all the Project Manager, Counsellor, Accountant and both the ORWs have attended Training programmes conducted by ASACS in Guwahati in the first quarter of the year. On the other hand the Peer Educators under the project were participated in training programme organized by NGO SHAPE in Sibsagar in the 3rd quarter of the year. To disseminate the knowledge and information on HIV/AIDS the T.I. project staff has arranged 4 nos of Capacity Building Training for Peer Educators and secondary stake holders in the DIC of AIDS Cell of the Organization's office at Kamalabari, Majuli.

1.2 Health Camps
On 24-08-11, AIDS Cell has organized a free health camp at Mudoigaon in Majuli, where 67 nos of patients attended the camp and availed free treat-ment. The 2nd health camp was held on 15-03-12 at Kohalgaon area,under Bongaon sub center in Majuli in which total 81 nos patients were attended and checked up their health.
1.3 STI Treatment
The Targeted Intervention project is committed to provide quality STI services to HRGs. During the year the organization's services through the project were as-

1.4 ICTC, Counselling & Condom Distribution Services
Under the component of ICTC service the Aids cell of IMPACT-N.E. has referred total 450 nos of HRG to ICTC, but actual visit to ICTC is 315. On the other hand, a total of 450 nos of HRG availed one time counseling. Again 284 HRGs have availed repeat counseling out of these total 390 HRG. Free condom has been distributed amongst the targeted HRGs through Peer Educators, condom outlets, Drop in centers etc. The total number of condom distributed were 1,43,787.

1.5 Advocacy Meeting
The staff of T.I. project has organized total 3 nos of advocacy meetings in different locations under Majuli Health Block. The locations were -Bhuramora, Boritika and Mudoigaon respectively. Besides Advocacy meetings, 24 nos DIC level and 204 nos of hot spot meetings were also organized during the year in accordance with the 'Performance Indicator' provided by ASACS, to share the experience of HRGs and to provide informaions to them. All around 2422 nos participant were participated in all the meetings.
1.6 Street Play
Within the year, to create awarenes on the issue of HIV/AIDS among the comon people two nos of street plays were organized by the AIDS cell, IMPACT-NE . These street plays were held in the areas such as- Chilakola and Mudoigaon areas respectively.where the staff under the project and other people from the local community were participated to make the events successful.
