Project on Reproductive Child Health
Reproductive Child Health project is one of the mostly community effected project specially in health sector.IMPACT-N.E. as a field NGO had started the Reproductive Child Health project in the year 2008 under the mother NGO, named Regional Research Training Centre on Indian Traditional Treatment (RRTCITT) under NRHM programme, supported by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.

The purpose of the project is to cover the unserved and under served areas of Majuli, by providing better health services. Three nos sub- centers are covered under the project i.e - Namoni Kolia, Molapindha and Madhya Ahataguri, where the project staff is rendering better services for the welfare of pregnant women through antenatal care, child immunization etc. along with family planning. As per sanction 2011-12 is the last year of the project
Glimpse of activities under RCH Project
As the RCH project is a continuing one so it has already been established within the targeted communities as well as in the geographical areas for which it was originally formulated. So, no advocacy and Networking meetings were organized in this year under the project.

1.1 Focus Group Discussion
FGD is the one of the main component of RCH project. In the year 2011-12 total 4 nos FGDs were organized amongst adult male and females at different villages like- Bogoriguri, Gopalchuk, Molapindha and Balijan including all the three sub centers under it's service. One FGD is organized in every month where focus is given on the issues like- immunization, family planning, ANC, breast- feeding, and on institutional delivery with special attention on eligible couples.
1.2 Mother's meet
Total 3 nos Mother meets were organized during the financial year 2011-12 under the project. The Project Coordinator, and other staff of RCH has organized group discussion with the mothers and with the would be mothers on the issues like immunization, ANC, breast feeding, family planning at different villages like- Namoni Kolia, Jokaibowa and Siyal Chapori under the service areas of the project.
1.3 Video Show
Two nos video shows were coonducted in this year to draw the attention and to disseminate the information on reproductive child health amongst the pregnant women, would be mothers and to the villagers, the main focus in the video show was on s on the registration of pregnant women, institutional delivery,' immunization, anti tobacco, and on HIV/AIDS at Bogoriguri and Kerker respectively.
1.4 Immunization Programme
Mainly by collecting neccessary data the staff of RCH project had helped the Health Deptt. On Immunization programme organized in the villages under Namoni kolia, Madhya ahataguri, and Molapindha sub-centers on wekly basis in every month as a collaborative partner to the sub- divisional medical & health staff.

1.5 Health Day celebration and Health Mela
In collaboration with Health deptt. the staff of RCH has observed Anti Tobacco Day on 31st May 2011 at ,Kamalpur and in association with the project staff of T.I. project on HIV/AIDS of IMPACT¬N.E., celebrated World Aids Day at Dakhinpat Kumar gaon on 1st December 2011.
They have also observed World Breast Feeding Day with the health deptt. under the selected sub centre from 4th August 2011 to 7th August 2011. In collaboration with health deptt. the staff of RCH has observed World Leprosy Day on 30th January 2012 , for creating awareness on Leprosy. On 12th Dec.2011, a Health Mela was organized at Ajarguri under Namoni Kolia sub-center and about 98 nos patients were checked up their health and provided with free medicines amongst them.
For the Health Mela, Dr. Ranjit Kayun and Dr. Uma Subba were invited to carry out the programme effectively and successfully. The Doctors were delivered their effective lectures on how to maintain a good health".
1.6 Street Play
In this year only one street play was organized in collaboration with Majuli Health Block Staff under NRHM. The main focus of the event was to create awareness and dissemination of informations relating to RCH project activities.The street play was displayed on 9th May/2011 at Balijan area.
