Project on Ambedkar Hastasilpa Vikash Yojna
Ambedkar Hastasiipa Vikash Yojana (AHVY) is a project for development of Mising Artistic Tribal Textiles in Majuli Development Block Craft Cluster inclusive of total 687 nos flood victim Mising artisans. Covering al the 687 artisans, total 44 nos of SHGs were formed as community based organization for Community Development through the way of women empowerment. The cluster contains seven (7) selected villages of Majuli for the development of Mising artistic tribal textiles, which has been supported by DC (H), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, since financial year 2009-10 with a total duration of five years. 2011-12 is the third year of this runing project. Community development through women empowerment was the basic objective of the scheme. Through the project it has been trying out to bring awareness amongst the Mising women on changing style and speed of the changing world of business and to upgrade their skills to link and make them adjustable with world wide better market for selling their products and make them economically self sufficient. It is felt that AHVY scheme is a suitable plan of action to bring socio-economic development to the area. DC (H), Ministry of Textiles, Govt of India has been supported the project financially to bring up different activities under the same on a yearly basis.

1.1 Group Leaders Training on SHG Management
In the line of training for leaders under AHVY project a specific programme was conducted in the name of Professional Leadership development Workshop under the strong leadership of Gili Navon, one international volunteer involved as an intern from Hebrew university,Isreal covering a five days long duration and inclusive of 25 nos progressive women leaders from all the 44 SHGs under the project. This programme was conducted with a focus on quality product development and exploring new and satisfactory market linkages for better income out of Craft pratices for economic upliftment. Along with leadership trainings some awareness cum Motivation camps under the AHVY Scheme also organised from time to time.ln the awreness cum Motivation camps more stress were given on the issues like different insurence schemes and it's benefits for the members . The details of the scheme were discussed in erevy such activities under the project for better understanding of the artisans

1.2 Covering artisans under Janashree and Rajib Gandhi Shilpi Swasthya Bima Yojona
Insurance is the main instrument to fight with risk bearing facrors in bussiness and life. Along with the total 687 nos artisans under the AHVY scheme other around 75 nos artisans practicing different crafts from all possible social communities to make them facilitated to enroll under the Janashree bima yojona to avail all possible benefits of insurence from concerned authorities from time to time. Already total 470 nos artisans were enrolled under the RGSSBY scheme more than 200 artisans have be renewed and new 80 nos has already enrolled. 1.3 Focus Group Discussion with SHG Leaders
In the year 2011-12 total 6 nos FGDs were conducted under the AHVY project including all the villages to keep the beneficiaries motivated for their targetted works in the scheme. On 29th April 2011, a group discussion was held at Chumoimari community hall. The 2nd FGD was held on 7th May /11 at Alimur village,3rd FGD was on 12th June /11 at Farm Tiniali. 4th one was held 22th July /11 at Jaroni Sonowal LP schoo1,5th one was at kaniajan and the 6th one was held in Nam sonowal on 5th January 2012 respectively. In the FGDs NGO volunteers were take active part to make the programme successful as per objectives of the scheme. The main focus in these FGDs were on the issues relating to different interventions to be considered for implementation and for preparation of the Annual Action Plan for the whole duration (one year) of the project All the group leaders have agreed to adapt the annual action including more skill upgradation and design and technical development workshops for implementation during the the year which were cosidered to be helpful for their sustainable livelihood and development.
1.4 Workshop on Design &Technical Development under AHVY Scheme
Three nos skill upgradation training was organized under this AHVY scheme for upgrading the skills of the artisans in relation to textile crafts.3 nos trainings were conducted in three different centers, i.e- Nam Chumoimari, Jaroni Sonowal and Kamalabari covering all the villages of the cluster.The programes were started in the same day w.e.f.-20th April/11 to 19th Aug/2011 covering 20 artisans in each center the programme was of 4 months duration. three diferent Master Trainers were engaged in each separate center to provide up to date training and incresing their competencies in the craft.during the programme improved tool kits were distributed among all the participant trainees.At the ending of the programme one test were administered by the craft textiles , Govt.of India.
1.6 Skill Upgradation Training Programme
In the financial year 2011-12 total 3 nos workshops were sactioned by the office of the DC(H), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India to IMPACT-NE to provide Design and Technical know how on Mising Artistic Tribal Textiles,including total 90 nos selected artisans containing 30 Artisans in each workshops.All the three workshops were conducted for the duration w.e.f 7th May to 21st May/2011 in centers one each in Nam Chumoimari, Kaniajan and Kamalabari by engaging three designers separately for each one and developed 15th nos prototypes in each center.
1.5 Two Days Entepreneurship Development Programme
Under the AHVY project one two days long entepreneurship development programme was conducted for the first time as its intervention.The programmme was held on 3rd & 4th Aug /2011. In the programme 8 nos different experienced resource persons were called and partcipated with their effective presentations, lectures, and discussions on the issues like- Enterprise, Entepreneurship, Market survey, entepreneurship qualities,government policies and support systems for entepreneurship development etc.The main tress in the programme was given on setting up of new enterprises and to promote new and adequate market linkages for beter maketing & more profit earning from the practicing crafts by the artisan.
